The Minister of Finance shall set the date for the end of the commitments and approvals of the 2020 state budget

The Minister of Finance, Mr. Louis Paul Motaze, has just signed an important memorandum on the cessation of commitments and authorizations for the 2020 budget year. In this memorandum issued on November 5, Minfi notifies financial controllers and public accountants that the dates for stopping commitment, authorization and cash operations on the State budget and other public entities, for the 2020 fiscal year is set as follows :

• Monday, November 30, 2020, for the termination of commitments;
• Thursday, December 31, 2020, for the closing of the orders;
• Sunday, January 31, 2021, for the complementary accounting period, for the settlement of the order and closing operations of the 2020 fiscal year.

Through this administrative act, Minfi invites Financial Controllers and Public Accountants to sensitize Authorizing Officers so that they take all measures to ensure compliance with this regulatory measure. This note aims at guaranteeing a greater rationality in the execution of public budgets.

As a reminder, this note comes within the framework of the fiscal year 2020 fon operations, as provided by the provisions of Law No. 2018/012 of July 11, 2018 on the State Financial Regime in its Article 62 (2).
